Featured Wedding: Erica + John

Photography By: Manning Photography

Erica wanted a vintage inspired look with a modern twist. I am all about the feathers with her hairstyle, they graze the top of the head and give that extra touch of femininity when walking down the aisle.

Featured Wedding: Maren + Craig

Photography By:  Valo Photography

Maren was so fun to work with because she was not afraid to take risks. She wanted to be a couture bride with an oversized hairpiece and birdcage veil, which I am SO for! It is your wedding day, your one day to do whatever you want, go glam! She was so confident in her fashion decisions and it definitely shows through the pictures.

Here is another great shot of her hairpiece:

Personalized Wedding Favors

I was to a wedding this weekend for my cousin Jake and they had the most adorable wedding favors at each place setting for their guests: Mason Jars with handles to enjoy their specialty drink.

Here are some other fabulous ideas posted by Martha Stewart Weddings:

Rosemary Olive Oil

To create this Italian specialty, place a few snips of herbs in an empty bottle, pour in olive oil, cork, and seal with clip art. Materials: Specialty Bottle
8.5-oz "Boston" glass bottle with cork.

Raspberry Vodka

Mixing these totable potables is as easy as whipping up fruit-infused booze, pouring it into bottles, and tying on a recipe for a Rasmopolitan cocktail.
Materials: Specialty Bottle 12.5-oz "Woozy" glass bottles.

Honey Wedding Favors

These hand-assembled wedding favors look good enough to eat -- and lucky for your guests, that's exactly what they're for. Individual vials of high-quality honey, wrapped with bee-decked bands, make for a sweet ending.
Materials: Bee Raw honey, $5 per 1-oz vial. Clearbags "Crystal Clear" boxes FB38. Nashville Wraps natural fine wood filler FWE14.

Featured Wedding: MaryBeth + Steve

MaryBeth was getting married on the beach and wanted a soft flower for her hair but a statement piece for her neck. I custom made a pearl necklace for her by twisting some pearls and adding a vintage inspired brooch. I love the whole vibe of her wedding and she looked amazing!

Featured Wedding: Sarah + Michael

Sarah was incredibly sweet, she had a winter wedding inspired by vintage glam. My first thought, feathers and bling! She was on the same page and loved the oversized look, it gave her that extra touch of softness to her hair!

A Sketch to Remember!

There are so many gown preservation companies that will turn your dress into a framed piece of art. Although the excitement of seeing your dress in a frame is cool in the beginning, it will surely fade away. As you stand there in your storage area and stare at it wondering... what was I thinking?

Immortalize your dress and display it proudly with a fresh sketch from Brooklit Bride!

Brooke is amazingly talented and really makes your big day come back to life. MEN: Listen up, this is a great anniversary gift for your bride.

I'm a night owl who loves traveling, laughing until it hurts, and fabulous doodles of course! Creativity has always been an essential part of me and who I am at the core. Whether I'm designing, decorating, or simply doodling in the margins of a notebook. I've been an Artist ever since I could hold a crayon, only it's taken me 29 years to own that title and say it proudly without any timidity or fear of sounding pretentious.

I am a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I majored in Fashion Design with an Art Specialization. I have worked in the fashion industry, wardrobe for television and theater, styling, art direction and product design and development. I opened an Etsy shop a few years ago because fashion and drawing were passions of mine that I had not been doing enough of in recent years. My shop has been successful and brought me many great freelance opportunities.

I started Fabulous Doodles to journal what I'm working on, what inspires me, and to archive fashion illustrations, both from my collection and new discoveries. For fashion illustration fans or the budding illustrator, I hope you enjoy my blog and say hello, because I love comments! -Brooke (or Brooklit as mom calls me!)

Featured Wedding: Christine + Dan

Photography by:Lindsay Pape

Christine is my cousin, so when she got engaged we were all very excited for her and dan. She immediately came to me and said "I finally get to be a Jaxie bride!" She was very laid back with choosing a hairpiece for her big day, she wanted something that made a statement and trusted me to just go with it. She was married in Hawaii and made such a stunning bride! We are so happy to have Dan as an additional "cousin" to our family.

Check out this touching video from their big day:
